Time Management INTJ Uses Strategic Thinking and Logic!

Time management INTJ brings a particular focus upon strategic long term planning.

How does one plan the use of time to factor in things like "vision", "mission" and future outcomes?! The INTJ's will find a way!

Method

Typically this type is "planning time" as they try to "solve" a problem. Or they have found some logical inconsistancy and they are working to logically figure it out and they need to arrange schedules to do that.

Typically very aware of "deadlines" the they will plan all the time right up to the deadline. In fact, they probably began thinking about the deadline as soon as it was assigned or identified!

The INTJ will work with sweeping concepts or groups of things, problems or tasks then break them down into logical bites, finally analyzing the best procedure for putting all the pieces together.

Tools and Traps

INTJs will usually embrace a "planner" or "calendar" and then work with that. Many times creating their own strategic system within the planner in a way different then the manufacture had perhaps suggested!

The INTJ, being dominantly intuitive, will see large chunks of things, ways, of doing things and work backward from there struggling with the details of most things. However, paradoxically, the INTJ will see rationale and use a "priority" approach to a "to-do"list.

Many time the INTJ can say "yes" too much and therefore get too committed to complete some tasks. Trying to do too many things at the same time can be a trap for this type. Conceptually the INTJ things they should be able especially with time management intj skills, yet they fall short often.

Under stress, the INTJ can become very scattered as unresolved details start to mount up! Many times under stress the INTJ will find prioritizing to be almost impossible as what is normally a brilliant ability to pick and choose becomes bogged down in a morass of too many options!

In addition to and related to the preceding, some times unexpected events will really throw the INTJ off their planning ability. Also, collecting information that is new can be a seductive time trap.

Finally the INTJ can "right" themselves and get back using their powerful time management ability by getting alone with themselves and re-defining what really is important, necessary and logical to the task.

Also, fighting the urge to "perfect" everything, will also help to get out of most time management traps.
